On June 11, 2019, with the assistance of the St. Petersburg Cluster Development Centre, a presentation for the Green Energy Investment Platform crowdfunding platform was held in the St. Petersburg Technopark. It involved the participation of Kirkenes Forvaltning AS, a management company of a new Norwegian Investment Fund established by Innovation Norway in 2018 and combining the Investment Fund for the North-West of Russia and the Investment Fund for Eastern Europe. The crowdfunding platform aims to raise funds from people or organisations who want to help implement projects relating to environmental protection.
Potential investors can opt to invest in one or several projects on the platform.
The crowdfunding platform was presented by the Norwegian members of the international consortium of the St. Petersburg Cluster of Clean Technologies for Urban Environment: Mr. Ragnar Ottosen, Member of the Cluster Board of Directors and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of First St. Petersburg Energy Service Company LLC, and Mr. Tom Langli, Managing Director of NORDIC COMMODITIES AS, a private retirement scheme management company in Norway.
Investment projects from First St. Petersburg Energy Service Company to be included in the crowdfunding platform and the draft application to Kirkenes Forvaltning AS, both for investment cases for First St. Petersburg Energy Service Company and for all projects of the Green Energy Investment Platform crowdfunding platform were considered.
The significance of this area is that within these projects a concept will be developed for financial solutions on the basis of commercial incentives, energy service contracts and private external financing.
